Tam Tam Cyber Cafe in Kensington Market

The Internet set-up works via entering a number the counter staff wrote on the back of a card for me. When you order a drink, there is the option of a half hour of Internet usage for a toonie. They also have some other specials, like a sandwich and half an hour Internet for about five dollars.

Upon starting the computer up, the interface is a bit different, rather than the regular Windows desktop, there is a bar at the bottom with various applications, easy enough to use, but something unique to this caf? as far as I know.

As far as a cybercafe goes, it has all the basics- browser, word processing and some other software. The bottom line is this is a place to stop, grab something to eat, enjoy a beer on the patio and maybe catch up with the news or update your blog, it's not the place for a frag-fest.
